Hunt4itt Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I just wanted to tell the devs, amazing job on the game. I did not know what to really expect but I think I have around 10 or so battles and now am in a cutter. I love every bit. A friend who also preordered the game and I were on teamspeak working together and it just worked great, once you get used to the aiming and sailing it makes for some amazing duels both long and short ranged. This is the game we both have been looking for, we are both childhood friends and our first MMO we ever played was Navyfield due to both of our interest in naval combat. Since then we have tried Navyfield, Voyage Century, Victory at Sea, Seadogs, Wind of Luck, the Total War series, Ironclads series, and many many more. This game exceeded both of our expectations. Even in this simple form with small ships we have loved playing this for every single minute. I feel the length and pace of battles is perfect, I have ran into a few situations where people prefer to ram because they feel it is instakill, but only once have I seen it work, but still would be nice to somehow discourage this just because it is very annoying. I love the dynamic damage, seeing the shot holes in the hull or the mast coming off after a ram, it is extremely cool to see your ship as the battle goes on. I am so glad I preordered and convinced him to do the same, I cant wait to see this game as it grows and develops into something great. Only complaint is the PVE seems a little unbalanced right now, not in the ship types, but I end up in like a 3v10 or so. I dont mind being outnumbered by one or two, but I wouldn't mind some sort of auto-balance for that. Thank you again! Really enjoying it! 2

I have never seen a team work so closely with its testers and provide such a great game. Now the craziness ensues and tons of questions, comments, etc. from all the new players. In this, the genesis of our great game, I just wanted to tell you guys you have done one hell of a job. Congrats and I hope you can take a couple of seconds to bask in success! Well done!
ulysse77 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I feel pretty much the same. I really like the smoke effect. So frustrating to shoot a broadside intsead of a ranging shot and failing to see where it lands because of the lingering smoke.

RAMJB Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 PvE needs a bit of tweaking. Last game it was 2 of us in brigs, we spawned against... 2 surprises, 2 brigs, 2 lynxes. Come on, I'm all for making PvE challenging, but that's not challenging, that's masochism

I've only played 2 matches (both PvE) and am really impressed with how it looks and runs; and how well the ships appear to be modelled. I can see myself delving deep into this game. Well done devs.

I've played two battle last nite and we both managed to beat PVE without fort, in one we had two suprise, a cutter a lynx against a couple of trico, a suprise and a few brigs. The other was only one suprise on our side, a cutter and 3-4l lynx against one trico 2 brig and a bunch of lynx. I think once you get a suprise on your side with a competent capitain it get much easier. Also i notice that if you hit the sail first the AI seem to use is repair instantly on them... 1

Cunningham Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Agree compeletely with OP, the game is damn near perfect combat mechanics wise and its the most fun playing a game I've had in a loooooong time! Last game I enjoyed anywhere near as much was a WW2 game named Darkest Hour, but this beats it handily!

reaper7 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Definitely glad I pre ordered this title. The basic menus hid the true glory that was revealed the instant game was entered. Wow totally blown away by how well this works at this early stage. Unlike many other early assess titles I've bought into, this one goes me total confidence of its completion. Can't wait to see this title develop and the artist flesh out the Frontend menus etc. 1

Awsome job for the defs again making an game in a time that not manny defs dear to touch.
