I've had the problem twice now where an enemy cavalry unit frontally charges one of my infantry brigades and runs right through those 1300 densely-packed bayonets like they aren't even there and goes on to cause havoc in my rear.

Has anyone else experienced this? I assume it is a bug or an oversight, not a deliberate feature since it is ridiculous. I would like to see this stop happening but GREAT effort overall, devs! :)

It usually happens when the infantry unit is already in a melee to me, it seems that it's "stickyness" being already focussed on another unit, the cav rides through, it's happened to me a few times.

Not related to melee I had it happen in various cases. It's like the unit is actually elsewhere but is visible in a different place.

I had similar issues, where a control point would be captured by the enemy, even though no unit is in range. In all cases a cavalry unit ran unharmed through my hole front line to then be recognized and engaged at the captured point.

Sounds like a graphical glitch to me.

Yes have run into the same situation, run right through my infantry even routed and still continue to the back of my lines(back of the map) and have to divert units to kill them off, or they recover and have full access to the rear area.

I ran into this problem as well. Cavalry and routing units both moving though solid infantry and reforming behind the enemy and attacking a rear attack on them. My suggestion is that any routed unit that contacts a formed enemy unit should be captured or permanently removed from battle

Had this happen in the last week as well.  Infantry was in battle line and the cav just went right through it with no fighting like it wasnt there
