A. P. Hill Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 For those of you with the means, and motivation, as well as location, APRIL 1st 2017 is Park Day. An opportunity for you as a history fan to give back to the parks in your area for preserving the history of the U.S. The list is by State, find the closest park and volunteer some time! Everyone will appreciate it. 1
Andre Bolkonsky Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 How can we take seriously any holiday on that date? Bad day. It's like having Capitalism Day on May 1st. Just doesn't work.
A. P. Hill Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 (edited) It's not a holiday. Did you read the link? It's a day to lend your volunteerism to the National Park Service helping them to do some "spring cleaning" if you will of the displays. Any day you're alive and available to help with something like this it's a good day. Just to be fair, this event falls on the first Saturday of April, pretty much every year. It's just that this year the first Saturday also happens to be the 1st. Those of you who are in the U.S. here, it's a great day to get out and return the favor of preserving our history.
