They posted they where going to give us  an update, but I think the backlash from them saying the alliances will be turned off made them not post anything.  Other wise I have no clue what SOON is any more cause it's not the soon I know of.

patches were deployed on the testserver. one major patch with a few hotfixes. Why? To prevent the cry-alot-playerbase to cry loud when the devs implemet half-tested content. possibly gamebreaking. Cause obviously EA does no longer mean you are testing a game but playing (lol no.. but that is what the majority of this forum came to think..)

"very bad news .." admin gave you the numbers. If alliances only amplify a zerg to a superzerg there is something wrong. Also the devs emphasize the term "turned off" instead of "removed". The system is not dead yet. But turned off for testing. May come back for small nations to balance them out for rvr - instead of the zerg situation that developed the last months.

ship poll.. well yes that is a valid point I can sign as such. But nobody forgot about it. Its simply overrun by higher priority tasks. Preperation steps are beeing taken.

So they asked for our opinion on alliances and more people have voted that they'd like to keep them.  And then they announce today that they aren't going to keep them knowing that more than 50% of their users will disagree.

I think that it is an understandable Notion that for a lot of players for the last half year the game hasn't really progressed. 

Some of the Major updates have been:

- alliances: going to be turned off

- crafting changes with fine wood: turned off

- captain skills: will be turned off and replaced

- hostility system: will be turned off and replaced 

 

I know there has been other stuff implemented like land in all battles that are working and helped the game but at this moment it feels like the game is going south fast. 

Features are being repealed, the community hates each other so much that the remaining 400 players at a time would rather split to different servers then play together anymore. 

If there ever is a time to worry it is now...

People need to watch what they wish for. The hypocrisy flying around the forum these days is getting really thick.

"There's lots of good ideas being offered. Slap some code together (HA!) and let us test them. They can always be removed later, but if they aren't tried we'll never know if it would work or not."

"Geez - they put stuff in and then take it out 2 months later. Don't they know what they're doing??"

And yes, I realize I've been guilty of this too.
