We always manage expectations downward and always asked players to keep expectations low and expect the worst. You paid for the game the way it is described on the Steam Page. This description greatly exceeds the promised content on Steam green light - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=259130636 All other promises don't exist and never existed. We were always very particular about what we say on the public facing pages. But we understand that players can sometimes read non-binding forum conversations differently. Sometimes we stated that there are two servers or were two servers in game (pve and pvp) but they never were a promise. The only way to solve the pve server dilemma is to charge subscriptions. But we never said subs before and thought it would be a lot worse to start charging subs for pve server than to remove a non promised thing. but many ppl like me would like to help u with some money , buying some cool esthetic stuff for our ships. if not now , at least after release microtransations could help u a lot ( try lower the price of the game and introduce this little thing and population will skyrocket) 1
Rebel Witch Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 This game is in testing.... i dont think that sunk in for people like vonbarb....THIS GAME IS IN TESTING. The Devs owe you nothing! I remember 17 years ago when i was playing a game and the server went down, i was so upset i could not play how i wanted, when i wanted. I lashed out at the owners of the server on the forum, how dare they not have that server up. some agreed with me, others told me i was insane for being so demanding. I wasnt even paying them money to play, and even if i was paying money it doesnt matter, its their property not mine. These days as i help test NAVAL ACTION. I understand how arrogant and selfish i was being then. I remind myself of that every time i get butthurt over a game. We all want certain things from this game because it is very entertaining but at the end of the day we all need to understand to step off and do more helpful suggestions than whining demands from Devs. The Devs of this game owe us not a gad damn thing, its their game, their ideas, their hard work and us chumps can either play it, enjoy it, help them or gtfo. Its that simple. or send them a check for a few grand before you whine. Or go make your own game and test your patience as players get nasty with you as they play it. This game can go down to a handful of testers and it wont matter until its released. This is why its so hard for game makers to test their game to wide audiences like this because some people forget its testing or dont care and then hold a grudge against the Dev's about a game thats not even completed. Keep the helpful suggestions and the like flowing but for those who are getting all emotional as changes come, just go take a break. Its okay to be critical of a game but damn some of you guys are so nasty to the Dev's, step out of your bubble and just chill a bit. 3

Seaside Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 (edited) Perhaps I don't fully understand what is involved. We cannot simply have it so players can sign in as PVP or PVE on the same server ? PVE players cannot shoot or be shot at by PVP and Vice versa. Give PVE ships an icon so PVP don't waste their time chasing them. Or even make them invisible to the other side ? I know the issue that bases will be changing hands through PvP action but as a PVE player this would just give me an incentive to have more than 1 outpost in case I lose one unexpectedly. Would even add to PVE gameplay for me. It would fit historically to return to a base after a voyage only to find that it had been taken over by another power. I don't play PVP so don't understand that side of the game nor really the economy side. I've played other pvp's and just don't like what goes on in pvp This would be a better than being stuck in Gulf of Mexico I know that, at least for me. This way both sides of the community could be developed and nobody is stuck in a box and the Devs would increase their sales of the game gaining PVE oriented players. A sale is a sale and good for the game. Edited March 22, 2017 by Seaside

And Im not talking about keeping a pve server for 50 people just in general, you have created a beautiful game and I would be willing to contribute some to keep it going.. 2
Wesreidau Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 I've made my suggestion for a PvE faction rather than a PvE zone, so PvE players can still enjoy traversing the entire ocean. If you prefer it over a PvE zone, support it with the link below.
hoarmurath Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 The game as it is advertised after merge is uninteresting, either as a pvp or as a pve player. I did both, and actually none is good enough to stay in the game. In a sandbox game, the players are the content. I don't think this game as enough potential remaining to keep its players, thus to have content. It looks more and more like a hollow shell. We, the players, were supposed to fill it, but the tools we have at our disposal to do that are, at best, inadequate.
kitsunelegend Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 I have over 220 hours in this game, all on the PvE server. One of the main selling factors for me was the PvE server. if there isn't going to be a PvE server, then the game is dead to me, end of story. Which is sad, because I loved this game.
