Angus McGregor Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Maybe I've missed a memo, but so far I've seen zero confirmation that there were any punishments handed out for the months of cheating implied by several posts. All I've seen is a statement that abnormally wealthy captains will lose their assets. That's it? First - it would be nice to know how widespread the cheating was - no names or nationalities - but how many captains are confirmed to have been cheating with this exploit? If that's not going to be made known - why not? None of our business? "Respect your fellow captains" goes both ways. Second - IMO it's important for GameLabs to reaffirm to the honest players that cheating will not be tolerated. Using this exploit for months is about as despicable as I can imagine. Third - Like it or not there's a problem with perceived dev favoritism that this is only fueling - whether justified or not. The current lack of clear communication about the investigation and it's consequences is not in GameLabs best interest here. 1

Anolytic Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 (edited) Developers should publish a list of all those captains who used this exploit prior to its publication. A lot of false accusations have been thrown around to cast suspicion on enemies and to draw attention away from those who actually were cheating. A list would clear the names of those who have been falsely accused. Edited March 19, 2017 by Anolytic 3
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 It would create even more bad blood. 1. "I told you so !! " 2. "I bloody knew it !!!" 3. etc Accusations are dealt with properly and many of those you don't see through the forum given the sensitive nature. Nor ever they go public, being the correct thing to do. There was, during Trials, this thread with names. Was long abandoned. Why ? No discrimination, positive or otherwise. Rules apply to everyone equally. If you haven't been targeted ( yet) with disciplinary actions then that's all you need to know.
