TheMarineGamer Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 With Sea Trials opening up, will we be free to record any of the footage and upload it to our youtube channels. Or is that something you wish to lay off from a while until the game gets more stable?
Chilly Willy Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Providing there are no visible bugs always ask first with new ships I. In a tester thread. Called NDA videos and screen shots
Hawke Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 You can as long as they don't show bugs and are uploaded as unlisted until they are approved by the admin.

RAMJB Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 You can as long as they don't show bugs and are uploaded as unlisted until they are approved by the admin. hm?. Ok some explanation here. I'm a youtuber myself. In fact I'm right now rendering what can't be described as anything but me putting this game over the roof (which it deserves to be ), with a gameplay of a PVP game we had with lynxes that just is a beauty to watch unfold. But now I don't even know if I can put it up. And I won't until I know for sure it's not going to drag me into problems. Can I upload it or not?. I mean, the whole "approval" thing I don't even know how to get that "approved". what do I do? PM them with the link of a hidden video?. If that's the case I'm afraid I'll be holding back on video production until things become a little more youtuber-friendly. I've put alpha and closed beta gameplay of other games (including WT Ground forces once the NDA was partially lifted, and Gaijin is draconian about that stuff), and in every case the rules are clear: You either can, or cannot upload stuff. I totally understand the point of not making a video just to show bugs in a game that's still very early in development. But let's face it only a jackass would do that. If I happen to have a gameplay that's fantastic and some bug appears...who cares. It's alpha, and bugs are bound to happen. What matters is the fantastic gameplay, not the bug. The bug will get squashed, so who cares about it? (obviously as long as the producer of the video doesn't just make a video to highlight bugs but seriously and again, only a jackass would do that). This whole "subject to approval" thing I'm not confortable with at all...I need to know if I can put NA videos up, or not. Conditionals are not for me, and if the thing is "conditional" for now, I'll wait until it's specifically approved.
