Deltrex Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Upgrade slots should have a different distribution by ship quality. Currently the difference between the ship qualities is way too high. I propose the following upgrade slot layout (Permanent/General): Grey: 2/2 Green: 2/3 Blue: 3/3 Purple: 3/4 Yellow: 3/5 Captured 1/Random This would make all the non yellow ships a bit more competitive while still maintaining a serious advantage for yellow ships since they still have a slight slot advantage and higher quality build in bonuses. 9
Sir Texas Sir Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Captured ships should have what ever the ship had when captured. Though AI's should be random. Though why don't we wait for the new ship crafting stuff when ever they plan to release that cause it's suppose to drop mods down from like 5 to 3.
Koltes Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 (edited) I think that it would be much better and make more sense that quality of the ship limits quality of the upgrade but not amount of upgrades. Thus all ships have 3/5 slots, but: - Green ships can have only green upgrades or lower. - Blue ships can only have blue upgrades or lower. etc... All upgrades should be permanent. But some moved to perks like marines as this makes no sense as an upgrade. This will also make more usable: - Lower quality ships and; - Lower quality upgrades Edited February 4, 2017 by koltes 1
Wesreidau Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Koltes, that only reinforces the exceptionals-only mindset. I've advocated before for 1/1, 2/2, 3/3, 4/3, 5/3 quality levels. Making blue ships "discount three permanent upgrade" ships does a huge amount to increase their viability.
