racketyjack Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Just registered on the forums. Wanted to start the ball rolling with a hello to everyone and a few comments on the game. As soon as I can afford it I will pre-purchase. Would love to sail that yacht in and around the Dutch estuaries and along the English coast. Been lurking in Dastreuxs' thread over at wargamer checking out the screens he's posted. The game looks absolutely outstanding. Being a former BM in the US Navy, I would love to see how small craft feel underway. Looking forward to hearing the rush of the waves again...
Chilly Willy Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Welcome to Naval Action. And the Yacht is a sweet little boat
Saintduiex Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 It is indeed Chilly! And welcome to a fellow Left Coaster!
Destraex Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Hi Racketyjack, Good to see somebody from the wargamer Unfortunately as usual in these games we seem to be getting the usual pirate infested waters of the Caribbean at least to begin with I so wanted the channel or the med. By the way I would not call it a simulator. But it is probably the best we have in genre. Here is a map they were asking for help with in another topic: http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/1647-open-world-prototype-ports-suggestions/ 1
racketyjack Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 I agree, the channel or Med would be nice. Duels with French, Dutch, or Spanish would be interesting indeed. Glad you recognized me from the wargamer. It was your thread about NA that brought me here. Ive pre-ordered now so am waiting at the Admiralty for orders...
Destraex Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I shall have to remember to give leeward coast a wide berth.... in case of dangerous shot of course
Mirones Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 there is a channel map allready but the important of part of the war in europe was fighting for resources and control in the colonies world wide. and i am sure that the next expansion of the open world after most of our work on the prototype will be done will moving the east coast up to Canada slowly moving towards main europe. but there is a problem ship plans can be found in national musems of the navy but geting the Maps of the Towns during that timeperiod is another story
