VirtuallyIdiotic Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 (edited) There are people working to help rebuild France, Spain, and Sweden. Help bolster their numbers and with the help of the Dutch you guys should be back on your feet in no time. Not saying it will be easy but if we don't try then nothing will ever happen. Elric Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 These small nations do not have any ship crafting bonuses - so every ship we craft in our own regions is inferior to everything else out there... The USA took Louisiana and Texas from the French - these had hull strength and French Refit bonuses. The current French regions don't even offer a crafting bonus. The Danes at least have one decent region to craft ships in - but the French, Swedes and Spanish have none... We really need for the USA, the Dutch and GB to give up at least 1 decent region for each of the small nations. Capital regions should have crafting bonuses to prevent this issue. 1

Compromises and sacrifices must be made for the betterment of the server. 1
Elric Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Related to this, when nations like the USA occupy huge stretches of contiguous coast line, it doesn't help their own players cap traders. When you have a mix of different nations intermixed, you see far more traders you can tag and capture. So it really makes sense to break up the very large blocks of territory to increase the AI mix. 1

Absolutely agree again. When the US and GB combine control close to if not 2/3rd of the map then there is no ability to have open world interactions. It is also why I am not a big fan of how the regional system is set up. I am with a few other players coming up with a few ideas that will be in a suggestion post later today or this week.
