St0nkingByte Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 The amount of time we are spending talking about when the next port battle is and converting to our local timezones is crazy. I wish we were all smarter and could calculate our UTC offset more quickly but it's not happening. Please render all datetime strings in the local player's timezone. This would be so helpful 2

Prater Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) Please no, even though I am UTC-6, the Unified Server Time for Events helps coordination between different timezones. Or, give the option to be able to have it display as local time, but by default give it the Server Time (or maybe display both?) Edited January 6, 2017 by Prater 2
Sir Texas Sir Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 go to the bottom right hand of your computer screen and click on the clock. Add new clock and set it to UTC time and any other you want to add. There welcome to a multi time zone game world
Guest Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Hope it wont happen, I can still remember the first time I was the flag carrier back in the day and bought it an hour too early because I didn't know if people were giving instructions in local time or servertime Using servertime as a reference point still works fine for short term planning, and for long term planning such as future PBs it's not all that much of a hassle to convert.
