Ned Loe Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Revert NPC OS speed back to what it use to be, nice and slow. However keep Player OS travel speeds as they are or boost them slightly. I recently noticed that 1st rate Fleets sailing so fast it makes me laugh. Even when I spot an NPC sailing downwind from me it takes a while to race it, so I can catch it. Also, their fast travel speeds makes them vanish from areas where they should spend more time just in case they need to protect Traders. So, right now fleet purpose is broken due to their fast OS speeds. NPCs sailing too fast imho. Player OS travel speed needs little more boost 30-35knots should be the top. Question, was this done on purpose? or you guys forgot to separate NPC speeds from Players speeds? Thanks. 1
akd Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) ?? They are quite slow. I can catch up to trader brigs sailing straight downwind in my lynx. Edited January 4, 2017 by akd
admin Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 NPC speed is not related to player speed. They sail 20-30% slower on average. 2

Check how fast 1st rate fleet is sailing downwind. It's quite fast unless you see it as normal. I understand light ships, but 1st rates?)) 6-5 rates - fast 4-3 rates somewhat slow 1-2 rates - slow This will feel more realistic I think.
