jennison Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Is it just me or do the supply wagons run out of supply very quickly. It seems that they are able re-supply one, maybe two brigades and they go empty.. Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere.. But what controls their supply level and how can I keep my whole army supplied?
Powderhorn Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 In the camp, in the upper part of the screen, center-righy, you can increase the supply levels of your supply wagons. I shudder to think how far your army has marched barefoot!
Koro Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 You should also put your cannons on hold fire when they don't have anything to shoot at to avoid them burning through your supplies.
jennison Posted December 30, 2016 Author Posted December 30, 2016 Thanks for the replies. What is a sufficient supply level to maintain in the camp screen? I think I have it around 5,000 right now and I ran out quickly on my last battle..

For most side-battles you often don't need to re-supply any units at all. For a really big battle like Antietam you need to take the maximum amount possible, and even then it might not be enough.
jennison Posted December 30, 2016 Author Posted December 30, 2016 Ok, great info. I'll bump it up as far as I can go in prep for my next big battle (2nd Manassas) Thanks again.

Not having a max sized manpower game helps too.
CaptainKanundrum Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 What does running out of ammo actually do in-game? So far my artillery and brigades will still fire even after running out of ammo.

KaleRaven Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Artillery uses the most supply by far. Turn off your artillery if it's not in effective range. For most guns, it's a waste if it's beyond shell range (I.e. solid shot).
