Native Troops

Im curious what people think about the idea of native scouts as a skirmisher or infantry class in this game. As it stands the natives are not given face even though they were used by both sides in the war. While not necessary I believe it would be a nice touch. Are there any cool ideas floating around that others might add to the discussion?

I like the idea.  I'm personally always a big fan of introducing Native Americans into the things they were already present for.

Does  any you have any example of a representative size native units  other than in trans-missisipi theater (that is far of the action currently represented in the game) ?

 

(No pun, real curiosity , I allways thought indians being active only in frontier fort war by both sides)

I don't think any of them got to be more than company/troop strength off hand, though would have to look into it more.

I think guerilla companies would be cool, like bloody bill and quantrell

You'd have to restrict Indians to the Trans-Mississippi and use them as irregulars.  I think a bunch of the Eastern tribes sent to Oklahoma territory allied with the Confederacy, at least many Cherokee did.
