Angus McGregor Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Well - the upcoming PBs will certainly be an opportunity for players who have never had the opportunity to participate before. Problem is,,,, those people don't have a clue what to do. And don't say "just get on Teamspeak" it'll be fine. We know what happens when a bunch of inexperienced people do that. "I'm here!" - "My cannons aren't firing when I click my mouse" - "I'm sinking!!" - "Where should I be?" - "Are we winning yet?"- "Run away!" Can someone please link to a forum port (or create one)? what to, not to do? what is unusual but normal in a PB - crap FPS, firing lag, ??. when in doubt, do 'X'. when in doubt, don't do 'Y'. A link to a Youtube video that shows the whole PB entry process in its current form would be good too. What to click to get in? The other day I saw one that showed a choice between three groups. 'Forward/Center/Rear' I think. I'd never seen that before. What's the rule of thumb for which group to choose? Regardless of nationality, there's going to be a lot of people trying this for the first time. It'd be good if it was a somewhat enjoyable experience.
Angus McGregor Posted November 29, 2016 Author Posted November 29, 2016 Good info, and that's the video I was referring to! So it's the same as joining any other battle, click the Crossed Swords. Entering PB immediately because of hostility points - are these the points shown in Map->more->Conquest information->Earned hostility points? Or did you have to contribute to the effort to trigger this specific PB? (Just curious) Any idea how many is enough to enter immediately? I hadn't thought of not being able to use ranging shots, but it makes perfect sense with the visual lag. But in the end I cannot use Teamspeak, so maybe I should do what I can for screening. Only jump into PB if need is critical. Thank you rediii, I appreciate the help.
