JJPettigrew Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 What size is the minimal unit? Units in batle are mostly regimental in size -by strenght and name - , but at the campaign force composition screens they are called "brigades"
Koro Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 The smallest brigade you can make is 500. The game doesn't really distinguish between regiment and brigade. Some troops that come on the battlefield are regiments from a brigade and can be combined to the brigade but in terms of functionality, only size matters. Edit for some corrections from my phone. 1
RookCW Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 While it would be cool to see... 2nd NY or 16th Vermont on a battle map all the time. It would be harder and harder to control in the larger scenarios. I like where it is now.
Legioneod Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I just give my brigades regimental names due to their size. 20th Georgia, 9th Louisiana, etc. It makes the units feel more special and it's cool to have a unit that has been with you through a ton of battles when you look at it's stats. 2
Legioneod Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Another thing I'd think would be cool is to be able to see the regiments within a brigade. For instance in Hays Brigade I could list all the regiments that were in that brigade or make a new list of regiments that I want to be in that brigade. This is just for role play purposes but I think it would be cool to click on a brigade in the army camp and be able to edit the regiments or see the regiments listed in the brigade. 1
