What happened to the names written on the terrain?

In Gettysburg, the names of the tactical points and so forth would appear written directly onto the map terrain. This was a very aesthetically cool feature, and one that's missing from Civil War. Any plans to reinstate it?

The new 3D engine did not allow letters to be added in the same way as in the old game, because of graphical distortions.

If we find a good visual solution we will add later.

Could a dedicated keyboard key superimpose non-3D names over terrain features such as, "Bloody Pond" and "The Hornets Nest", for as long as the player holds down the dedicated key? I miss this feature as well, due to the fact that so many American Civil War battles are associated with iconic names which were given to key or critical areas of each battlefield  ("Little Round Top" and "Burnside's Bridge").
