So....about those crew loses

There is a LOT of posts about crew loses and how they are to high. Ive been paying close attention to my loses and my crews killed. My conclusion is that crew loses are perfect and do not need to be changed.

For those who think the losses are high i am curious of the battle situation and tactics used. Ive played from a privateer to a 2nd rate and think stern and now rakes are perfect ,  broadside is perfect and grape is perfect .  Depending on what ship i was in and cannon size was losded nothing seemed out of wack. Large ships massacre small but small still can inflict a fair amout from rear . 

I even did a 2vs13 with ships fromconnies to rennos vs my connie and in the end we won and i still had 354 men left with no stern armor. i keep my speed up and turn when fired upon to minimize damage.

Perhaps the stagering loses described by others are in port battles where there speed is slow they are not manuvering much and they have 1000 men on board that makes good targets.

Hope the devs see this or other who find the lised fine also speak up.

Are you sure that the posts you're looking at aren't from right after the patch hit (before crew damage was tweaked) rather than more recent ones?

It was pretty insane on the first day or two, but then got hotfixed and evened out, and at the moment I would agree that it's great.

No ,  thi has been after the fix . there are still so many complaints about it and needing more gold to cover the "unfair amount " of loses.

I think the more veteran players have calmed but the more exitable players are still up in arms. I feel its do to how they play not because of the mechanics .  In fact it has to be since it doesn't happen to me and i strictly fight pvp.

most ive gotten was 208 off an indiaman in my surp or 178 off a trinc in 1 broadside.
Next patch they're adding a 'brace' command so crew losses on stern rakes should be significantly lower.
