I don't know that any of the groups have stated that they were a single specific time zone but you can send a message to the contacts I posted above. Obviously if you are in, say, NY and you sign up for a group that is made up of predominantly Australian membership it could get tough to hook up with them.

 

Regarding the Decatur Armada, so far we are only US members. However, as membership grows each of us we will sail when it is convenient for us to do so as some may be in PT, ET, or CEST time zone. As will most groups, we will set up our events and times within the group.

 

Again, at this point I'd reach out to the contacts.

I don't know that all of us that may fall into that category are all in one single clan, but it sounds like a goal that the Decatur Armada should focus on

Depends on what you're looking for

Probably decide on witch nation you want to go with and tthen check the clans out

Im not quite sure what were gonna do.  Sloop thinks we will have enough people to have our own clan, I thought we'd run with you guys. I can tell you we probably will just be pubs so hopefully (if thats the case) you wont mind us tagging along.

Is it possible for there to be pirate guilds/armadas? Or is national allegiance a requisite? I have a great idea for a pirate group

Do some forum searches but this won't be PotBS.

We will have to wait and see but based upon what I have read over the past few months, Pirates won't be close to being on equal footing as the Nations and will have a bounty on their heads so that everyone will be gunning for them. The golden age of piracy ended in the early 1700's, probably close to the early fringe of the time period of NA. Won't say it won't happen, but it seems to me that nations would have to turn a blind eye and ignore the loss of trade and profits for a long time for any Pirate fleet to form.

is the ultimate number of groups fixed or arbitrary? will a new player be able to play without group affiliation and not get sunk right away (iow is group affiliation a high survival mandate)?
