Ever since I read a book about the Anglo-Dutch wars back in elementary school, I was kind of drawn to the Dutch Navy, thus this would be my first choice. Coming in close second would be the French, since I was a loyal "Frog" for quite some time in PotBS.

I am the one that setup the poll and, while UP may have been historically significant, for those wishing to vote UP they can select "other". If it would make you feel better you could pretend that all of the "other" votes are for UP as well

Three rather important countries(Depending on time frame) and they would have different advantages in certain seas due to being closer to them. Russia would have pacific(And Baltic sea I suppose =P) US would have western part of the Atlantic as well as the Caribbean and the UK would of course have the eastern part of the Atlantic and much up and down the European coast

I think, as previously stated, Portugal needs to be included. The country was the forerunner of exploration, starting the Age of Discovery.
