Mrdoomed Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) Well since this patch has my entire server (exept like 4 Frenchman ) playing in shallow water noob zone and the ai fleets are beyond anything a solo player can do i guess myself and probably others are wondering. Can we get details on when you will make only 1 pvp server and where it will be located? Will it remain in Europe in this location or be moved further west? WIll it be moved to the Americas ( as a neutral site for all )? Also when will server me shut down for maintenance? WIll it still be every day ? Will it be in the middle the US players prime time or Europeans? Will it happen before release, or on release and if beforw when? Any news would be helpful, thanks. Ink Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 The decision about possible merging of servers has not yet been made, if it is going to happen, it will be announced in advance to collect feedbacks firstly

I've seen small (2-3) fleets of Pirates in the Northern Bahamas Juniors Zone ... and a few Players. I was sailing there last night with a national colleague. We were rocking a Heavy Rattlesnake and a Snow, doing missions and supporting other US and British Players. If you think the Shallow Water area is tough, try sailing in the majority of the world. You'll find out what tough means. For Players wanting to PvE in that area, join some others of your nation, form a Group and sail together. Find a senior Player in your nation and use that as a training field. The PvP game does reward playing well with others. For those who simply must go it alone, the PvE server is there.

Unfortunately im a pirate so i cant attack the small pirates fleets. And yes i play in the " real world " and stay away from noob city which is where everyone is at. THe first day of the patch i came out of port first time and caught a lgv snagged in reefs in tortuga and thought this is awesome. That was pretty much my last pvp and was the last trade ship or player i attacked without 20 ai involved. I did lose a 1 dura ship when i got taged and 24 ai from 3 directions got pulled in. I couldn't escape since i was surrounded. That has been my entire game experience since the patch. Just wanting to know about merger how long or whatever.
Ser_Slack Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Yup, stick a fork in it. 100ish people at primetime with a large percentage being alts.
IndianaGeoff Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 I am enjoying the game, but if it can't get many times the number of players after release, it will be a short lived game. If the US can't sell enough to fill a couple servers of PVP, we are done.
Sir Texas Sir Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 The entire server is not in the Bahamas, maybe the US is cause we keep catering first rates they won't stay on the Florida cost. I think it's like 17 US/Brit first rates we have captured since the patch came out. That and ROE in rookie zone is so broken right now. Just had a 29+ vs 10 counting every one AI's battle out side Morgan Bluff cause they didn't show up in time with there fleet to get into the Port Battle. So we excited it and it was over. Part of game Mechanics that has a been around back in the flag drop days. Expect a big complain from Oldcranky man cause he even accused us of using US alts to stop the Port Battle. You don't need to use any alts if no one shows up after the first start timer runs out. If no one shows and is ready and you exit the battle is over. End of story. If this is the ROOKIE ZONE with the special ROE than something is broken. This wasn't a port battle this was out side the port. http://imgur.com/AHek3R7
themule08 Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Other issue with rookie zone is I thought if you get tagged will be 1vs1 with even br.. I got tagged by a mercury..I am in a mercury.. even br.. How does two other ships then enter battle after 5 minutes or so of fighting? Because I was killing him he got reinforced? Fix this or your noob zone is worse than the real zones. I like the idea of 1vs1 in small ships there and good for raiding.. but right now mechanics are broken..and need a hard look at. Also what happens during blockading before a pb.. if say you have 8 players and want to engage their fleet of 12 coming in..you know you have the towers to help..but you won't pull them all in due to no obligation area. Bahamas are a very strategic area in this map, need to look at the mechanics again devs.

This wasn't a port battle this was out side the port. http://imgur.com/AHek3R7 Well since the patch every day and night ive been on all the talk of where people are where they are fighting, building ships and or resorces they say they are in Bahamas. Ive been playing about 6 or 7 hours a night and or day and outside of the newb zone and port capitals i hardly see a player. Even at peak hours. Again tonight we played for 6+ hours and saw one player who turned out to be a player alt. ALl the nation chat was about being in the new Bahamas. But even if youre right and we are somehow missing all the players every day since patch this population cant work for a large amount of people looking for a game. We are to close to launch and wipe to just start over on pvp1 and several of us are interested in the future. Texas we are on at same time alot so PLEASE tell my clan or me when you see a player outside the Bahamas.
Rhodry Heidenrich Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 I have been having fun but the numbers of actual players on the US server has been dropping. I don't see as many people as I did a few days ago. The server population dropped from 180avg to 150peak. I am still opposed to merging into the EU server because even on a good day my ping can go from 130-250ms. And the idea that ping doesn't matter is bull. I'm not exactly in favor of a merger, but I'm also not in favor of playing on a ghost town server. PvP2 is the poster child of how the scope of this game is not at all supported by a small server population. I wonder if this "new" possibility of a merger will have the same effect the last one did, which wouldn't be a good thing.
