Congrats

Is it perfect? No. But it is fresh new and challenging. I like most all of it and the parts I don't like are probably meant for other play styles. So all in all well done and as it fleshes out it will be a much better game. This patch will have a tendency to separate the men from the boys at first. But I like the challenges.

Comments

Ships changes-

I like the mods to comparative speeds and corronade adjustments. This makes the fights more challenging.

Econ changes-

Similarly this is much more challenging. Actually competing for resources is something the game needed.

ROE-

This is much trickier than the old linear way but I do like that we start battles closer to each other. Makes escapes harder even in a defensive tag situation. My only reservation is that this system allows the revenge fleet to start the next fight surrounding you as they no longer join in linear fashion. You might see this become an issue in hot contested Pvp spots. Superior numbers nations/allies will learn to surround battles. This will require more planning on the part of small nations but not impossible.

Again, great job and I'm glad to see you willing to take risks. Change is against human nature in general so big patches always run the risk of angering short sighted player bases. Hopefully, many realize we needed this patch and we need to test it to get it right as well as toss what doesn't work. Constant unconstructive complaining is the only true step backwards.
