Despairbear Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 So after the newest patch I find myself and the entirety of my ships and ship crafting infrastructure far from a friendly port. I find myself suck with a considerable amount of equipment and ships in a free port surrounded by Pirates and to a lesser degree Spanish forces. So in the opinion of the group what would be the best way to get my ships and equipment to a friendly port? I would like to avoid selling off all my collected equipment if possible and really don't want to find myself having to ferry all my ships one at a time across the map. So what would you all do in my place?
admin Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Regarding the ships.. just teleport them of your choice in a quiet time (using enemy light npc traders). Send the assets using deliveries to an outpost near a new place you want to operate around. Or just teleport to capital Remember that the map was reset just now. Don't worry. I guarantee that in several weeks it will most likely look like it looked before the reset. Also advance warning. Map might be reset again at least 1 time. 1

Thanks for your attention to these messages. The more I explore the new map the more I like it. Lots of oppertunity for trade goods, now to capture a Edy and an Indy - maybe I'll find Horatio Hornblower on one?

That is kinda what I am afraid I am going to have to do. With the weight limit on deliveries if will be extremely pricey to send thousands of units of live oak out, and that is just one of the full inventory I have for building. Having to crew a ship teleport to a capitol then sail back and do it all over again more than a few times is likewise going to be less than fun. I keep hoping that someone has a brilliant answer to this conundrum. I may have to end up selling off nearly everything and just starting over in a new location. Granted I will have the funds to help rebuild, but......
The MetaBaron Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Yeah just take your time, take the chellenge in stride and enjoy the experience!

Sir Texas Sir Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 I don't think there is an enemy trader within 1000 nautical miles of Havana. Why were the smugglers removed? are they not respawning or something on PvP1? THey are all over the palce on PVP2. My only issue is to many Pirate fleets around I have to go hunting for other fleets or traders. So not use to all these pirate AI's.
Despairbear Posted October 25, 2016 Author Posted October 25, 2016 It gets better, with the limit on how many deliveries you can send this entire process will take several real time days to complete. As well as the cost.
