Wondering if the amount of crew killed through stern and bow will be lessened to a degree. I think the highest amount of crew I have killed is about 300 in a broadside to the stern with charged shot with about 75% accuracy.

This number seems like all that is required in a PvP is a well placed stern broadside and that victim will be crippled for the rest of the battle.

When will this be fixed ???

Look at the action of 28 june 1803, a single clean rake from a frigate to a 74gun ship proved to be enough to decide the issue and rout a larger ship, the fact is that naval action class every "out of combat" crew as dead and you have to pay to replace them. If this was 300 crew "out of combat" (routed/wounded/dead) i think it would be more balanced (only a small % of fatalities to replace, all the rest comes back after the fight after you leave, that way would make it more acceptable gameplaywise imo)

I seriously dont see the big deal.

As long as we all play by the same rules.

Canon balls flying through a ship bouncing off everything, knocking things onto people etc probably did alot of damage to blood bags.

If a goal of the devs is to encourage pvp, then making crew losses astronomical can make it fiscally unfeasible for any but the richest players to participate.

The doctor officer perk helps (a lot - if you survive!), as does the admiralty connection (helps a little to lower crew costs), or spending all ones labor hours making medkits.

According to which source?

Because according to Wikipedia

"Hercule's rigging had suffered considerably, but she only had a few wounded"

Non Wikipedia source to back that up:

https://books.google.de/books?id=QC5EAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA188&lpg=PA188&dq=Hercule+Poursuivante&source=bl&ots=m6ri7Hhy-o&sig=DXUV_pjhN_YxTLduozehMXWX7J4&hl=de&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjp4cvjzvnPAhXGEiwKHVgyDYYQ6AEIWTAL#v=onepage&q=Hercule%20Poursuivante&f=false

So a stern rake from a 40 gun frigate failed to kill a single sailor.

You can find pvp that doesn't include 40 ai victories?
