So, if each nation can only have two ports ready to take and then thats it, you are capped, this basically means anyone not in the 1600-2200 TZ will struggle to ever have a port battle.

Agreed this fucks over a large portion of the playerbase (and yes I know largely those of the British and US nation but ignoring thsoe won't exactly get any advantages as them leaving will prompt more players of the normal timezones to leave and this will be followed by players of other nations leaving).

 

I would propose to limit the port battles to 2 a week per nation but instead leave the hostility changes open for a full week promoting more changes in the region and then on the 7th day port battles in all ports of the region with a break of 2 hours in between them (adjsut to reasonable numbers) to spread it over different timezones - whoever holds more then 50% ad the end wins the region (maybe make the regional count for 2 ports).

Dont worry the devs have been running of all players not interested in doing strictly port battles for a long time, this patch being no exception.

Soon only port battle players will be all thats left and they will devote 24 hours a day to rvr mechanics.

So I think the hotfix may have gone a little bit too far, Rear Admiral Fleet mission, 3 kills, 2 assists....7 points towards the Hostility.....so errr thats 600+ Rear Admiral Fleet Hostility Missions

Thanks Jeheil.  PvE is supposed to be far, far less important than PvP.  That said, the latest hotfix is adjusting that number upwards a bit.   :)

 

I totally agree and am like 500% behind the new excellent system and the strategic importance now of capturing resources.

 

HOWEVER, if it is impossible to flip a port through PvE, then THE BEST defence for the holding nation is to not engage AT ALL.

 

So in a zone we are trying to take not one enemy has been sighted since 9.96. We need to be able to generate enough threat to make them NEED to defend.

 

You can only flip 2 ports per 48 hours. So I think you need to change your design thinking (due to this cap, which is a good idea alomst *) and make it like 48 hours to flip an area through PvE to FORCE the defenders out.

 

* Please change it to a 3 port FLIP with 2 ports in the Euro 12 hour TZ and 1 port in the non-Euro TZ
