Nice ! I'm eager to test that asap ! Just one small question though :

I play 75% of my time with either my Danish or Swedish allies. Will I be pulled in with them ? Or is it like before I need to "manually" get in just after they started combat ? Because if that is the case, does that mean I wont be able to play with them anymore ? :(

Well, since you can't reinforce normal fights anymore you're either dragged in from the beginning as an allied nation or can't join at all.

Oughta be able to join them inside hostility missions though.

one question: I assume that the removed builings are just the crafting facilities and - therefore - do not include also the outposts and the clan warehouses.

Is my assumpion correct?

Eager to test it.

Just one question, what did it happened with the event BPs? Since we dont have events we cant get them.

event will come back with less shipwrecks better loot and deadman chest flag on the carrier

Looking forward to testing the new combat circle.

Not sure about carronades.... but if we consider how bad crews were at aiming them I guess it's ok. Technically carronades should have been able to fire the same distances and in a straight line at the engagement ranges that crews could usually hit things at in the period. However since crews had no idea how to use carronades and usually shot them without realising they would fly high... they were less effective at range. If only crews of the day knew to aim them lower.

Love the hostility idea... LOVE LOVE LOVE that attacking AI affects hostility.

Nice patch, finally but what about the Special Events and when the new UI will be released ? :)

The UI will be done once the game is finished, so no time is wasted designing UI for features that get dropped again.

The patch sound awesome and, I must say, in large parts even better than expected.

One question:

Can experienced players also join the rookie zone to test the rookie zone to test the different ROE mechanic???

Oh thank god.

I still have nightmares from back in the day of desperately zig-zagging right at the Marigot port entrance for at least a minute while a Danish fleet is heading right towards me and the tagging timer starts ticking down. ^^

Please don't give this game a bad review just because UI will be added last.   :D  We know some people already rated this game 'bad' without even participating in development, all just because they see UI is at it's simple form atm. Everything has it's time.

As I read the Update notes, the only limit on starting or joining battles in the Learning Zone is Battle Rating (BR).

So, unless I misread it, if you are prepared to sail a low BR sloop, you can sail with, guide and assist Learners as they gain XP.

My plan is to offer assistance to US Learners in maneuver, manual sails, gunnery and coordinating with fleet operations, to the extent of my ability.

New midshipmen:  Look for me in game if you'd like some assistance.  Bring Teamspeak and patience.

Although starting from just a few ports and capture of new ports requiring a long and grueling grind for each additional port seems somewhat dreadful. I hope our Danish Brethren continue to Vote for our alliance.

Who says one cannot be educated by gaming? I had no idea Bermuda Cedar existed, the notion a cedar could compete with oak yet still be light (what's next,Bamboo?) and was used in ship construction..how amazing. It's things like this that attract me to a game.
