New sailships vs old

I just saw a photo of this new huge sailship called "Sailing Yatch A".

 

Don't know about you guys... but in my opinion this modern sailing ship looks absolutely horrible compared to the graceful and majestic older ships.

 

Something about the whole design just makes me cringe.

 

It's almost like we forgot how to make proper sailships... or perhaps we actually did...

 

What you guys think of this modern sailship? (below)

Well to be honest, kinda everything: the materials used, shapes and look of it.

Personally I'm more into the early Renaissance architecture right up into the early modern and industrial era (and of course most ancient architecture ).

But I get most people will disagree with me on that lol
