Dutch Republic, consisting of our
Seven Provinces and ruled by their
individual governments: The Duchy of
Guelderland, The County of Holland, The
County of Zeeland, The Lordship of Utrecht,

Ommelanden, all of which consist of and represent

decree complete authority over the
interests of The Dutch Republic in
the Caribbean West Indies to TOVNM,
further known as Total Oblivion and her
Flying Dutchmen. The Dutch Republic humbly requests
the order of protection for all
Dutch traders sailing to, and
from, and within the Caribbean Sea. These
Flying Dutchmen are granted
full immunity, and with full
reward, in all her endeavors to protect and
expand Dutch holdings in the Dutch West Indies.

Netherlands with full support of and authority by
William III, Prince of Orange.

That moment you and your mates sail 45 minutes in pirate frigs to go pirate hunting outside Sunbury, and 5 minutes into the battle you suffer ping spikes of 2k+. :/ But good fun nonetheless.

We now are in need of raising our minimum rank requirement to Tweede Lt and above; and to require US prime-time activity during as many nights as possible. This is our effort to prevent spais from infiltrating Dutch operations.

It has come to the attention of Total Oblivion that our Flying Dutchmen do not have proper documents from the Dutch Republic to engage her nation's enemies throughout the Caribbean. To this, we provide an excerpt from the opening of the trade protection company of Total Oblivion and her Flying Dutchmen in 1665.

".....Considering the current decline of the WIC, and the recent loss of their holdings in Brazil to the Portuguese and the upcoming ceding of New Netherlands (New York) to the English, it has come to the attention of William III, Prince of Orange, that to prevent further losses in the Caribbean, a resurgence was indeed necessary. By order of de Staten-Generaal and our majesty, the Prince of Orange, grant full authority over the holdings of the Dutch Republic in these Caribbean Seas, namely to claim control over Willemstad, in an effort to regain a strong Dutch presence in these trade rich seas."

Because of a total-loss fire in the New Netherlands Archives that house all decrees for all Dutch trade companies in the Americas, it took some time to search the Nationaal Archief in The Hague. However, the original decree has been located and is now incorporated in our original recruitment post along with the English translation.
