1. I know this one will catch flack from many but ALTS are just killing me. Im so tired of midshipmen in cutters following me around like fish nears a shark. Obviously spying because they know i wont bother attacking them but they join the battle when i fight someone and they ram me get in front of me and stop etc. Plus they buy false flags to stop battles , they spy, they do anything they can to break immersion and hurt the game.

OK, so the problem isn't ALTS, its ALTS who play in another nation other than their main in order to cause mischief.

Now, it is almost impossible to stop this, as there are lots of ways of making my alt account look like not an alt account. I use my sons account as a crafting alt (on the same nation) and I often use it on another computer. Now if I was a baddo, you couldnt discern if it was me or my son on this genuine second account.

More over, I actually LIKE the idea of spies, its actually not in itself a bad thing. What is bad...is that when you know someone is a spy, PokeMyFace, M3thod and LV's cloggie alt are known by 90% of the British population to be ACTIVE, OBVIOUS and UNAPOLAGETIC spies.....we should be able to do something about them....and that for me is the problem. Now if Lord Underpants a master and commander in one of our clans is in fact also a spy...but all he does is reveal information about our cunning plans....well played sir....well played.

On Point 2. I understand your grumpyness...but tbh...let Darwinism sort that one out.

I don't understand why people would be so bothered by other players who aren't as good as them or don't play the game they do. If I want to sail around in a Connie and not know what I'm doing in battle, how does that affect you? Why do I have to play it the way you want? This is a game for Pete's sake, not an actual naval career...maybe people who have jobs, wives and families don't have 6 hours a day to rank and level up. Maybe they want to enjoy this really cool experience too. Seems your saying "play how I think you should and be good at things I think you should"

MikeCK, I agree with you to a point. You SHOULD be able to do that. And who cares, right? It's your ship. The problem starts when people want to change the rules and mechanics so that doing dumb stuff like sailing around undercrewed isn't penalized or made a handicap. Like keeping battles open... or artificial BR-limits. why?

Yes if they sail around like idiotd its fine but when they petition the game mods in forums to change the game and rules because its not fair or im cheating or im op or they need a bonus ect it effects me.

When they send me pms or bitch in global for an hour calling me names because they suck making me closr chat and out them on ignore ( i hate doing that) it effects me.

Its just like real life. If you want to quit school and be a minimum wage loser i dont care but when yku want 20 bucks a hour making my big mac cost 15 bucks your loser lifestyle effect me.

To be fair, like with any other game where you can be in direct competition with other humans, getting hate-mail and being accused of hacking is the crowning achievement of doing well.

Like the other two said, the problem isn't that they're doing it.

The problem starts when they get toxic because of it, when they discourage others to play the game because of it, when they want to have the game changed because of it, when they're unable to see that maybe they did pick the wrong server to play on.

And to me, personally, it's also frustrating when your attempts to help them fall on deaf ears (sorry, Germany saying that translates a bit awkwardly when done 1:1) or they insult you for trying to do so.

That being said, when I get caught in a no escape/no survive situation I usualy don't bother about how good I play or not. I'm going down anyways, might as wel try something stupid.

Lets just say there been a few times me or another clan mate has basically just said, "YOLO." and charged in to save the day and actually when the match that we should not have won.   Than again this is prob why Pirates get called OP and Hackers cause some times we don't stick to the same method of fighting and some times we just say screw it.  We going to sink any way lets try this.  It's so stupid they might just get confused and blown away by such actions and yes 9 times out of 10 it's worked out in our favor.

Along with what folks said before me it does hurt you when they join your fight and they are on your side.  We had a guy jump into a port battle that was in a lower level ship and was in our TS we told to wait until all the 1st rates got inside before any one in frigates joined.  He came in with a Trinc and keep out one of our 1st rates.  This will be fixed with the new patch by letting those with hostility points in first for the PB"s, but I seen folks do this stuff and than go in and do things like block shots.  Go after the wounded ship some one else was all ready taking down (needed them to go after the mortar brigs instead) and just do things to hurt the team.  There is no way to boot them from the battle or to punish them other than black ball them from things like ship sales and such.  There are some players that are just toxic in the game an seems to want to hurt other players even on there own team for stupid stuff like, "They wouldn't let me join there clan or they won't sale me the special ship that they only have a BP of (and in fact we didn't have the BP we got them from another nation.)"    The average Joe casual player is not who they are talking about.  I have no problem with a learning player joining the fight, it's when folks go out of there way to hurt the team.  (Tag or allow to be tagged to pull in a 1st rate into a big battle that the other team couldn't tag in the first place.  Just had some one do this the other day.  Than they ran and didn't help the 1st rate.)
