No AI traders?

Hello everyone!


I've been sailing up and down the east coast hunting AI traders. I have found great success with this, especially since my ship is fast. However since the last 24-hours I have seen not one - and I say not even one - AI trader. I have sailed up and down the entire coast. I've asked other players and they tell me the same information. What's going on? I don't know if this is just me or something random, but it is extremely weird. 

 

I don't know if I should put this in discussion or help, since you can discuss about this but I need help with this issue too. Well, whatever.

It goes in waves and I swear they know your looking for them.  Every time I need a traders they are all hiding.  Every time I'm in a trader I see a million of the guys all over the place.

They come and go. And sometimes ships get bugged and wont leave the spawn points or other people up wind from you are doing the same thing and killing t&em before you see them lol.

I try not to wipe them out in one region.  If you do that they wont comeback in a while.  It helps if you destroy the non-trade ships of other nations to free up spawn space for AI traders.

Hodo, what do you mean with wiping them out? It's a bit weird that if I hunt around 30 traders they're gone for 48 hours for everyone. Well, others are probably hunting them too. How many do you have to destroy/capture until they all disappear? I've never had this issue before.

I was sailing off Florida this am in PVPOne EU and noticed more AI traders at sea than in the last few days.  Yesterday I sailed from Charleston to Cabo Canaveral and saw non AI traders, but I was sailing out of sight of land part of the time and may have missed them.

Yes, after the maintenance (60min) this morning I see AI traders again! Cheers! I hope this was a bug and not them being "overhunted".

Apparently you killed them all the last time. Now you have to wait for them to rebuild traders. It can take 8 months or more now. Thanks for ruining it for all of us.
