Crew loss while in port not in battle

For the second time in a couple of days I have had to replenish my crew to 800 although I have not been in any battles.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I've not experienced it. How many crew did you lose? I suppose it may make sense to lose crew if you are in port too long. They get drunk and run off, get married, die, ... On the other hand if you could pay them a healthy salary I suppose they would hang around the ship.

Now that you mention it, I think it happened to me too. I remember puzzling at the time, but thought maybe I had accidentally left a fleet ship behind in battle or something and lost its crew.
