We do not have an estimate when it will be deployed, but it would be good to start preparing for the move of assets.

All regions (except for some in Bahamas) will start with their historical ownership.

This was decided because we don't need neutral cities as it will require players to pve a lot during first weeks of conquest.

What to expect.

Because of the resource changes all buildings will be destroyed by a massive earthquake and their costs will be recovered to players by national insurance companies.
Outposts will stay intact all assets in warehouses or ships in docks will be untouched. But if your outpost is currently located in your national town or in a neutral town this might change. Regions will change ownership and neutral towns will disappear.
Players who want to have access to assets after the patch should move them out to their national region. Alternatively players can just capture that region after the reset.
PVE server players will have to move them out or use smugglers.

I have a few questions already:
Why is Providencia marked as Spanish, and not Pirate?

Also, the colour used to mark "Pirate Regions" are the same as the ones used to mark the noob-zone. Does this by any chance indicate that Pirates will operate differently when it comes to conquest? (Like capturing individual ports instead of entire regions)
Or does it just mean that the regions Abaco, Andros and Grand Bahamas will be Pirate owned regions at the start, with the exception of the national noob capitals in each region?

US will maintain steady defenses pretending they can't do much until its time to push from 2 fronts and take Spain into the vise grip with all they got. End of Spain - Easy mode.

Since allies can practically use each other's territories as their own, strategically Spain's allies should just settle in her territories and use them and defend them as if they were their own. Instead of port swaps, the allies of Spain can expand beyond her borders.

It would be the unexpected, yet the most strategical and interesting thing to do. Rather than have a lot of empty region swaps in the beginning.

Any indication how long it will take to put a port into full hostility when there is no push-back from the owners?

And is there still a limit of 10 ports in full hostility?

And if a port is pushed past the limit to actually start a port battle 48 hours later, will that port still take up a top 10 spot for those 48 hours waiting for the PB to open?

I find that for whatever reason my computer struggles to load the images in enough detail to properly work out what action I might need to take.

A simple list of towns under each nation by alphabetical order would be great but I can understand if producing one is potentially a pain to do.

Is "a consolidated presence" dependent on port ownership?

In the case of Danmark-Norge we technically only need to capture the Virgin Isles and ally with France and Spain and we can be back to our how we are now, with access to all the same ports and the same front lines.

For most of the regions, 3 aspects have been considered:

centuries-old rulers (who set the local colonial culture)
decades-old rulers (who set the more recent colonial infrastructures etc)
current rulers (let's say those who controlled the region) in 1790-1800

1 aspect = 1 vote, the majority wins.

Providencia was mostly Spanish from 1689, a governor was nominated in 1775 and it served as a naval base to counter the British privateers who operated from the Mosquito Coast.

Grey = pirates, 3 of the rookie regions start as pirates so the new players aren't too much bothered with alliances at the start. Nassau however was the capital of the British Bahamas.

For most of the regions, 3 aspects have been considered:

centuries-old rulers (who set the local colonial culture)

decades-old rulers (who set the more recent infrastructures etc)

current rulers (let's say those who controlled the region) in 1790-1800

1 aspect = 1 vote, the majority wins.

Providencia was mostly Spanish from 1689, a governor was nominated in 1775 and it served as a naval base to counter the British privateers who operated from the Mosquito Coast.

Grey = pirates, 3 of the rookie regions start as pirates so the new players aren't too much bothered with alliances at the start. Nassau however was the capital of the British Bahamas.
