Herpaderp64 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 OK I've had enough of these gankers hanging round Kingston so i am going to create a clan exclusively to hunt those weasils i got attacked by french gankers in my buc today and the worst part of it is they weren't even fighting they were just trying to cap my ship of course i lost because they ran as soon as i gave chase. I'm sick of it after social was taken away I've been sunk around 5 times now due to ganking fleets and i can't take it anymore so if any of you are not in a clan and/or are just looking for some payback send me a message in the game and i will add you to the clan. after that well then we get down to buisness any fleets that even come close to the island will have to deal with us first. We must show these rats that we are not their xp farms, not their ship farms and most importantly that WE CAN AND WE WILL STRIKE BACK. (that felt really good that ) 3

If everyone would just man up and take a turn doing what you do there would not be a problem or at least sit doing nothing outside instead of inside so they can reach battles. Again way to step up and solve a problem yourself and not ask daddy tondo ot for you. Now lets see how many of these " brave concerned " souls help you. Edited September 11, 2016 by Mrdoomed 2

Cmdr RideZ Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Morgan & Hethwill.. Let them 1st form the clan before you get totally excited. 1
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I hope they succeed and I can act as - anti-pyracy consultant- and help them out. There is much more to keep those salty waters safe than gathering a squadron and sailing out. My fee is modest - information. 3

The Brits are getting braver, or smarter, don't know which, as last night the gank group I was in wasn't able to get as much. Op, good luck with your clan. I hope recruitment goes well. Don Sancho Navarro Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 (edited) Good luck with that. In Spain we implemented that idea a long time ago, keeping an eye on Key West, giving advance warning to the nation through the chat, and following and intercepting gankers with mixed fleets. I has been quite successful and Habana waters are much more quiet now. A piece of advice, tell your new players not to sail away alone in their Teak bucentaures with 150 crew to do missions. That is plain stupid. Yesterday we captured two in 20 minutes just north of Port Antonio. Two lieutenants saw their bucentaures surrounded by a cloud of pissed off Spaniards with little ships, and they could not even load their cannons. I guess it was a good learning experience for both of them. Normally we do not attack low ranking players that are sailing around, even if they follow our groups to relay our position. Their ships are not attractive targets, anyway, but we will not sail away if someone decides to give us their bucentaures as a gift. I guess we will meet in the waters off Jamaica. Good luck. Mrdoomed Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I do not gank but I lurk and stalk prey. The shiny valuable kind. The ones you should strive to protect How often those really acting like pirates "as they should be" are called gankers who only set up ganks lol When anyone like you or othere who know what goes into the pirte lifestyle is anything but easy or ganks.
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Aye. Last 2 days been acting "normal". Got myself a brawler Belle and just sail about looking for trouble at any rate. Coastal defenses sailing in big groups and leaving gaps in the trade lanes. So a group of 6 warships engages 2 pirates. Taking equal numbers, the other 4 pirates are free to jump the traders left on their own because there's no warships around given they are all "ganking" or "exacting revenge". It is all part of the game and in the end everyone has fun. If we lose 2 ships in a revenge combat but prize 2 full traders while the escorts are busy I'd say the Pyrate brotherhood wins. Sorry for the banter but nationals, as a whole, can't free themselves from the "revenge" mindset. Losses are part of the game. It is how you minimize the losses of the nation that matters, not your individual record. ( unless you are a pyrate )
Llewellyn Jones RN Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Ultimately traders have to expect loses or learn how to fight back effectively. One of my colleagues while sailing his India man with a Trinco/Trinco escort tried running to start when that didn't work he turned around and fought the pirate. This resulted in a 3v1 and the pirate had to escape with no reward for his efforts. The cargo carried was worth over 3m at kpr price. He also puts regular calls out in clan for escorts in which is an advantage to those who use clans having players available to escort him home is a real bonus. So to those setting up this anti gang squad I hope it works out for you but unless you can run three to four fleets round the clock you are never going to provide the cover needed
Nikodemus Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) We use to take out active patrols around KPR, But then we found that everyone just decided to stay there. We could not get people to join fleets. So most of the RvR guys don't bother anymore. Thats not saying its a bad idea can have alot of fun and the pirates or should say 90% of the Pirates are good guys/gals and fun to have a fight with. Plus you learn to PvP alot better fighting them.
