Chimera Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 It's called "having a taste of one's own medicine". Soon enough this will develop into a full-scale proxy war Non of us is complaining about the fact it was done. What we do Mislike is all that crying about the end of the world that has preceded it
oliviervdp Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 It was a wonderfull fight indeed. We brought our british friends, the french have the right to bring their allies. The Danes are known for their skill and we saw that yesterday, we hope to learn a lot from our upcoming battles. Untill the next time. 2
Pablo Frias Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 (edited) Is this supposed to be funny? The funny thing is that you weren´t using those cheats Just joking, at least for now... Edited September 7, 2016 by Pablo Frias
Kair Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Cant believe the only order is "go ahead, go ahead!" In fact, the fights I did with Russian players looked a bit like that indeed. They will give you a main heading 2 or 3 times in the fight, and sometimes a main focus. For the rest, you better open your eyes and do what needs to be done. Some people like it, some people dont. Personnally, that's something I have been really enjoying about fighting with them. Great fight from our allies the Danes, the few french in there, and our respected enemies the Dutchs. 4
Knobby Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Not hypocrisy, just got a little angered seeing all those brits come up in the south on friday. This was the answer. You guys are forcing us to innovate. I can only say that coordinating last night was quite exhausting. You guys also ninja'd Cano Araguao, the battle finished as we were about to enter. Edit: we had 4 French captains in the battle with 3 more that couldn't enter and had to be escorted back That's also why some of us got salty last Friday after the comments of the French. As you saw yesterday, having allies with you is a great advantage, but the amount of coordination required is so great it is not at all 'easy mode', and it makes the potential for mistakes much bigger. It's called "having a taste of one's own medicine". Soon enough this will develop into a full-scale proxy war Maybe we should have the Danes and Brits fight over Pampatar while we sip coffee in Willemstad and Fort Royal respectively 5
admin Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I think the devs have overdone the floating wrecks you can repair to 50% of a brand new ship and you guys have mastered using the tools available like no other group in the game. I liked it better when ships that were beaten actually used to sink ( and I don't care about realism here) ;-) shoot grape into floating wrecks crew will melt 3

Tac Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 (edited) I shall forever miss that mastercraft victory, she always did fight above her weight, the heroic defeated of pampatar will live forever so roll on the patch, time to end the chapter and turn over a new page. Wp to all involved from every nation, was much fun. Edited September 7, 2016 by Tac 3
Chimera Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 shoot grape into floating wrecks crew will melt Oh I know that. If you intended all these overlaying effects of gold mods and perks that create these floating hulks, fair enough. It's not a game breaker for me. I'm just saying I enjoyed combat more when there weren't so many stacking effects.
Jeheil Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 We all need to get used to allies and get used to combined forces....the idea of using the 'A-team' to crack a tough nut is totally fine. When regions arrive, progress (taking ports) will be a much slower affair I think and nations will need very strategic alliances and the 'final port showdowns' will need an 'a-team'. Think about your WoW-Progression raiding team. Other ports can be for general teams...but on occassion you will need to form up the main guys...to make sure all that prep work ends well for you. I met the Danish 4th rate team a few times and totally tip my hat to their skills, focus and tactics. There is losing a close 'scrap', there is getting beaten due to a couple of muppets on your own team...there is losing to dodgy game mechanics, there is losing to some bad luck or one moment of madness...and on occasion you meet an enemy that outplays you with multiple levels of skill, where and when they sail on what heading, focus, protecting their hurt, being adaptive and seizing an opportunity...and when that happens...the best thing you can do is pay some respect and LEARN. I want to play with my allies and learn from them...happy to be the only Brit in a US, Dutch dominated fleet...happy to screen for allies....there is NOTHING unfair about working with your allies....and if your allies happen to be really good....well....good choice Now can someone kick them out of Pampatar...I have 2 good ships stuck in there...and I got home 15 minutes after downtime...which is very annoying for us on t'other side of the world. I woke up...ships are safe...I go to work...ships are safe...I come home from work....ships are locked up by them pesky Franco-Danish-Ruskies !! 8
Dick Brave Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Ahm, just one question: Shouldn't this thread been renamed to "PB Pampatar Danes v Dutch only 1st rate!" ? Well fought Denmark!

Jeheil, we can help you evacuate your ships out of Pampatar for a small fee and your word that you will use them against us in a Port Battle. Payment accepted upon delivery. 6
