Turning Pirate ... query ..

ok, simply had a situation, on PVE, earlier where a player decided he wanted to quit his nation and go pirate. So my question is, has the attack a friendly option to do so, been completely taken out? To include friendly AI ships (not contraband carriers).

Yes there is no way to turn pirate other than the delete your char and make a new one just as every one else has to do.  Ya'll cried so much they took away the option.

I still want Pirate on Pirate back cause we still getting morons coming over from other Nations.  So can't wait for OUTCAST to come out for Pirates.

Seriously? Sounds like I made the switch at a good time. That is pathetic. I too cannot wait for Outcast, so I can gank the whiny ones coming from US and Britain.

I'm wonering why they are even making this 'Outlaw' class. It is ridiculous. Pirates are outlaws by definition.

Just get rid of the current Pirate nation and make piracy be outlawry as it should be.

I think that is the plan, but the DEVS are being so tight lip about what the actual pirates mechanics are going to be.  I really hope they put them in place soon cause most of us don't want to be a Nation  but more like pirates.  They stopped the Pirates vs Pirates cause the mechanics could be abused and they need to work on it better.  I think it's prob going to be like clan vs clan or something later.

To me it looks more like "crew shock" as the are stunned by the volleys that are coming at them.

The whole notion of a crowd/community turning ugly in a game that ultimately promotes conflict is a foreign notion against their principal values.

While at the same time there could be a place in this game for such folk. But it would mean accepting that we go beyond any rules of propriety and have the proper means to deal with them in-game.

Although I don't press the Pray button each day, I still have faith in the devs to come to a good story.

PS. I just received word they are working hard to refine things. As admin says "we never promise anything and you should always expect the worst", I'll add my "Keep an open mind and exploit test everything."

We MUST hang on until the Region Conquest gets in!
