Knobby Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Looking at the available quantities, requiring 1000 national good is utterly insane.
z4ys Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 What is happening. One step forward two steps backwards over the last months. Social perk should be removed like it is voted. 1st rate resources restriction should come when every nation has his own 1st rate. The event is just to short. Upcoming changes are ok but don't solve a 30min lasting event. Ai escort Fleets ... Just destroying solo play and are useless when attacked by a group of players. 3
Fluffy Fishy Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) its like balancing head shots from AK74 vs M4 If your game is somewhat historical their headshot value will be the same. Can you provide specifics on how you make santisima feel MUCH MORE different from le Ocean? Thank you for the reply. I would like to say I could, there needs to be some game play licence put in a bit to plum in a little bit more variety between all ships of the same rate, the best examples are shown in the lower tier ships, most notably Surprise vs Renom and snow vs Navy brig. I have never sailed Le Ocean and it looks like I won't be doing so for some time due to the restrictive nature of the blueprint and now the additional pain of getting hold of the national goods too. What I would say for now having never sailed her on a purely gameplay basis is that there should be a bit more differentiation and specialisation put in to the comparison of the santissima and victory, then the ocean should be placed as middle ground in between the two. but then there is also the struggle of having to put in the other planned first rates too. I do quite like the proposition of the soft restriction of ships, it potentially will work in quite an interesting way when it comes to Alliances and War, just in my opinion it makes more sense to roll out after a few more have been added to balance it out a little more Edited September 1, 2016 by Fluffy Fishy 1
Vaz Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Looking at the available quantities, requiring 1000 national good is utterly insane. On the contrary it's excellent, the devs have long looked for a way to reduce the amount of first rates sailing around, this seems like a big step in the right direction regarding the numbers of them sailing around. Balance between nations will be a problem for a while though

Lets use victory vs santisima. They are the same class - first rate ship of the line. What are the specific difference you are talking about. In numbers.
Eneil le Sublime Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Please give BP Ocean for the french nation, or we will be unable to craft 1st rate...unbalanced game
Alado Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 you know when we can have ocean bp? or only especial event?
Guest Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) Seems this hot fix will bring less time for sailing/fighting but another time sink on gathering national goods to craft 1st rates. IF your nation is able to build 1st rates. Don't like that very much but we'll test and see how it works. Edited September 1, 2016 by Guest
Kanay Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Great Britain have 36 ports with Indian Tea that produce 245400 per day. España have 4 ports with Iberian Meat that produce 42192 per day. France have 11 ports with French Wine that produce 139656 per day. I'm pirate and i will build only Victory If one Nation is reduced to 2 regional capitals it will produce around 20k more or less , 20x 1st class ships per day, not even a full fleet ... This is if the Nation gets all those products, smugglers, alt accounts etc will not allow this. Loosing ships will matter a lot, loosing 2 major 1st rates battles and getting ships sunk in a single day will really have a very big impact, right now i bet all will put smuggler flag on and try to buy all they can, then will come contracts with prices reaching insane records for those goods and a competition between the richest clans, and a lot of players going for Ai traders all day long in hope to get those things dropping. The sad news is that a common player will have almost zero chances to get 1000 units of those goods, it will take probably a month for some to collect 1000 units ...
Aria Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 So french/dane/sweden/ can't craft first rate atm.... Nice patch. 4

The issue of BP availability needs to be addressed though. And yeah, please fix boarding morale

Guest Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 So maybe more battle spots will need to be filled by 2nds True. But I'd rather like to see a purpose of using more 3rd rates in port battles
Vaz Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 True. But I'd rather like to see a purpose of using more 3rd rates in port battles If the trend continues, we might see it naturally, if 2nd rates get national resource restrictions as well. Maybe even 3rd rates as well at some point. a lot of diversity, at least compared to the current situation, will most likely follow!
admin Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 So french/dane/sweden/ can't craft first rate atm.... Nice patch. there are multiple ways to obtain those resources. people always requested more meaningful conquest. and we are gradually getting there. With the introduction of regions some resources will become available ONLY in some regions which nations will fight for. 9
Vaz Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 With the introduction of regions some resources will become available ONLY in some regions which nations will fight for. Sounds very nice, i like the way this is going!
Brogsitter Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Experimental hot fix deployed today 1) Instance loading systems rework. Players will experience a lot less crashes on instance start. 2) Special event changes deployed - more information here: http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/16206-test-event-changes/ 3) Regional changes implemented for vessels as an experiment that will spread to other high ranked vessels Victory - requires british national good to construct Santisima - requires spanish national goods to construct Ocean - requires french national goods to construct When introduced - Christian first rate will require Danish/Swedish national goods to construct When introduced - Dutch first rate will require Dutch national resources Second rates are under consideration This is done as an experiment to see if regional changes will create more variety in large scale port battles, making national choices more interesting. 4) Tournament room now requires a password. Password can be received from organizers 5) Social perk disabled The first time I like it without moaning.... except ...
qw569😳 Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 So french/dane/sweden/ can't craft first rate atm.... Nice patch. If Denmark-Norway want to build the Santisima then they should allow Spain to capture Jérémie or any port that produce Danish Bear. After that Jérémie stops to produce Danish beer and begins to produce Iberian meat. But if Pirate capture Jérémie then port stop produce any national goods. That's why all must fight against pirates. 1
Alado Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 if 2nd rates get national resource restrictions as well and how we take national resource to do a pavel?
Aria Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) there are multiple ways to obtain those resources. people always requested more meaningful conquest. and we are gradually getting there. With the introduction of regions some resources will become available ONLY in some regions which nations will fight for. English need to do nothing. Spanish too. Others need 4 hours of sailing with smuggler? Capturing trader snow with 48 iberian meet in? Multiple ways yes, but fair ways? totally not. Edited September 1, 2016 by Aria 5
Alanxo Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 I didn t know than froggies first rate was built, mainly, in Bordeaux barrels ! Are you sure about ? Alanxo drunk privateer

That's why all must fight against pirates. it is the legacy problem not the current game problem. In the future most regions will not change production patterns if captured. National naval supplies might (we don't know it yet) replace national alcohol or other items which are currently used instead of national supplies or provisions. 2
Eishen Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Like this "soft regionalization", makes things more interesting, IMO should be applied even to 5th rates , maintaning at least 1 "common" ships in each category up to 3rd For balance purposes considering Russian ships as Norge/Sweden and making dutch "national good" interchangeable with english or france (one of those not both) could make the trick....
Konali89 Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Since at the moment this is a clear disadvantage for most nations. may i suggest increase of production numbers of those regional goods, or increase of loot from traders to make it less of a struggle. I like where this is going, but at the moment as soon as we run out of first rates, the shortages on those goods will destroy first rate pvp fighting. And oh boy i have been enjoying pampatar lately:) These changes are good, dont get me wrong, i really like them, but we do have a situation where some nations have to haul ass and others can enjoy and sit back. None the less, i love this idea and when everything is balanced it is gonna be awesome. Fighting for ports have much more meaning now, Off topic: Since regional goos now are the deciding factor in making ships, maybe make it as follows: Shallow port: Produces minimal amount of regional goods Deep port: produces medium amount of regional goods Regional : produces signaficantly more than the rest. That will create a situation where every port still has a meaning. Konali 2

Good job the Brits get tea, nice sober craftsmen building our ships. I feel sorry for the French, their ships will be built in half the time, but full of holes.
