One quick silly question

Ok, one quicky silly question. Very often when in chat with other Spanish players (as in players that are playing Spanish faction and are obviously Spanish in real life), they often say "candles" instead of, I believe, "sails".

 

Might I ask why is that, because I see it very often.

Velas is the same spanish word for sails and for candles too.

Most Spaniards do not speak English, but tries to help English speakers using the google translator .... 

 

On spanish, candles and sails have the same word..... "velas".......... and google translator have problems with that..... XD

there's other words in the naval vocabulray that can create confusion like:

 

Hull= Casco but in Spanish a casco is also a Helmet 

 

Bow= this word also have other meanings in english and the translator can change it with Arco (the thing that shoot arrows)
