A simple auto refill button / function, much like what you have in Heroes & Generals would solve for much of the micro. 3
maturin Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 i realy like the idea of limited ammo, i also understand that many people would not like this . but keep in mind that a ship like the santisima could carry thousands pieces of ammo so you wil not run out in the first hour of a battle atleast and mayby you wil not even run out at all. Yeah, normal roundshot might as well be unlimited. If they want work for crafters, it can become another shipbuilding item.

Just limit it for the battle and refill it immediately after. We already have limited double chrage and double shot, where we don't need to buy extra powder etc. Maybe limit grape and chain to 10 - 15 rounds per cannon. 15 (30) broadsides of each should be enough to criple a ship. And in a fleet engagement you have multiple ships who can do that if it is not enough for you. Ball shot can be unlimited. Edited August 24, 2016 by Cecil Selous 2

There is exactly one recorded instance of a ship running out of ammo, and that was after multiple engagements over a protracted period of time. For realism, do NOT add ammo. It was not something a Captain usually had to worry about. 1
themule08 Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 can't limit ammo as ships never surrender you have to literally pound them into the sea.. they could have 0 armor all around..and still won't surrender.
