PVE, the ocean is almost empty.

Sailing tonight from La Mona to Plymouth, and the ocean is empty, i have only seen 7 NPC during the journey, and i don't think everything is going right about it

Solution: PVP worlds

Maybe it would be better if you sailedcloser to cities?

To Septimius Severus, i've been travelling along the coast all the way from Guanica to Plymouth because i found it strange to not see more ships on the OW, and haven't seen much. Only the 7 i talked about. When i reached the area of Roseau, i've seen more npc, but far less than usual.

 

About the PVP vs PVE, why should i have to choose between the two, if the PVE server is supposed to have enough content to play? PVP does not fit with the time i have to play, and i don't like it that much.

I really think there was a problem that night, i was not the only one to notice this.

Isn't the number of bots a finite number ?

Meaning when you kill one, another one isn't automatically created ; meaning there are fewer and fewer bots during the day till maintenance and replenishment ?

I don't know LeBoiteux, but it is the first time i see the OW so empty.

I've been speaking of it on the global channel yesterday when i noticed this, and people were saying the same thing, some NPC, but a lot less than usual. I use to play at night (French here) and i have never seen that before.

Maybe some players have been hunting every fleet and ship like crazy, but i find it hard to believe (i can be wrong of course).

I guess there are at least 3 possible explanations :

- more killings of bots that day

- fewer bots to kill that day

- the routes taken by the bots have changed

(+ bad luck, illicit substance...  )

the pve ocean[ open world]  has always been busy in my experience.

We have checked - all NPC are there but perhaps it might be caused by another bug, we will investigate it
