Wilson09 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) a post in the thread open world speed made me remind... (Another idea could be to allow offline sailing, you set waypoints or a targeted port for the autopilot, when offline, your ship become ai controlled, you can't loose dura or crew if the ai get sunk or cap, you just loose potential cargo and restart from your last visited port. This could help) Like it. It is a feature you basically get in most MMO (horses and so, follow another character...) To be considered, I suppose... Another feature I was thinking of: I hate the steering entering the green zone and then the docking procedure. I´d prefer (at least for the home water / green zone) to press a button and then get auto-docked (like NPC, easy to implement I suppose) and listen to some special "home" music. It all reminds me to my very first video game when I pretended to be a pirate.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elite_(video_game) (Fuel can be replenished after docking with a space station, which requires matching the ship's rotation to that of the station before entering the docking bay- a task that can be avoided by purchasing a docking computer.) It can be a nice money sink, you pay for pilots to bring you in (I don´t know if they had harbour pilots by that time?) + start a docking music sequence (like at Elite). This makes you feel coming "home" and reduces the psychological cost of long sails drastically....it gets you over the last 5 minutes ! and you can get a cup of coffee...hey, you are in GREEN ZONE. No nasty pirate (or TDA !)can tag you anymore! Time to relax.... The (perfect) pirate music while I am listening to when I dock at Mortimer...Wake me up! Edited August 20, 2016 by Wilson09
