It seems that what we thought have been proved.

Different votation status have shown that (more or less):

-GB: 33% of the active players

-VP: 14,1% of the active players

-France: 14% of the active players

-Danish: 10,6% of the active players

-Americans: 9,8% but during the european time.

-Spanish: 8,8% of the active players

-Swedish: 8,4% of the active players.

Sooo... devs... Is it a concern for you that a faction have 1/3 of the players or its ok?

The crew mechanic was supposed to add some balance between nations... But it doesnt seems so...

You might:

-Drop the idea of have historical nations and use "fantasy" ones

-fix the crew mechanic to have a real effect

-add a new national resource that encourage (not avoid nor force anyone) to join the small one. Removing from the big ones and/or giving extra to the small ones.

-avoid blocks where an alliance have a bis superiority

-any othe idea

Cheers

I think one of the easiest things to do is allow faction switches - Implement a mechanism that allows players to change faction (perhaps with either a cool-down, or even make it a micro-transaction to avoid jumping back and forth)

Pirates=100-33-14.1-14-10.6-9.8-8.8-8.4=1.3% :o

If online 1000 ppl then pirates 13 ppl

As I said, it comes from the votations numbers... So pirates are not there, of course. But what its important here is the relative %, there is a HUGE unbalance between nations, thats the issue.

And British use the same votation system.. so... No excuse from there.

If you want to prove something with numbers, why don't let it run the full 24 hours first (to give everyone a chance to vote in their primetime)? It's easy to draw conclusions on inconclusive numbers.

There are plenty of US people playing for other nations and the other way around.

Besides, not everyone who logged in yesterday would've been aware that there was voting to be done, but please continue to prove your point via distorted statistics.

Hahahahha there are estimates numbers from the votations... Pirates are an unknown amount of players, only devs can give real %.

Easy, because what really matters here are the relative numbers and americans are out of the game, they should have their own mini-game, the players that really cares are the ones with whom we can play PvP, not those that play when we are working/sleeping

I'm wrong.

1.3% are inactive ppl that don't press button

Fantasy nations... ? Its a historical game with correct staysails. A map overlay which is correct... Carefull crafted shipmodels...etc... I wouldnt play this game at all if it wasnt with the right nations... The different sized nations just provide yourself with challenge: beginner (GB), easy (VP), mediocre (FR), hard (DK), pro (US), dire (ESP), nightmare (SWE).

Its not bad - its a matter of skills :-)

If players below level 3 can't vote and the votes you have increase with your rank, those numbers say nothing. If some have 10 votes and others only 2 the ten votes can be one player or 5.

Tbh even not being British I wouldn't join your nation cause all I see of it on the forums is its bitching instead of your fighting actions. Take a look at the ships ingame - msot of em were at some point in British hands - it is only realistic to have the most powerful sea nation be the most powerful nation ingame - as to us being a beginner level - I wouldn't agree with that during 14-24 server time - at that time KPR harbour is nearly impossible to enter or leave without looking at 50 gankers jumping everything they can find like a horny rabbit and that with impunity due to hiding in result screens. But I suppose that is the burden one carries when you becoem the strongest faction and your enemies start to focus you.

Hahahaha you just join to the absurd club. Hahahahha

did I? ok then - I just prefer not to be delusional and completely bitchy about situations that I either brought on myself or that are simply the game's mechanics. - If you want something to change make 1 post about it and hope that you get a positive feedback - if not dont blodoy beat the dead horse over and over again in every forum post - seriously I couldn't even take a good post by you seriously anymore at this point in time.

Join Sweden then, and your problem would be solved. I think there is a nation for everyone...

I always figured the relative strengths to be roughly like that.

However, with Sweden switching alliances the "east/west" block parity doesn't look too bad (Pirates being more closely aligned with the Lesser Antilles factions).

But you are right it would be useful to have war goals that would end alliances once reached - and/or mapresets "winning the war" and a boost to the losing side [say, lower crew costs].

Yea if i have to play a nation called morlog and fight grimlocks im done too. If players in small factions want to be in small factions then either make friends with other small nations or THINK SMALLER. If your nation is 9 people you cant run the world. Damn.
