Let's be honest, we must defend the honor of the Netherlands/Belgium when the game goes live!

My plans in the future:

 

- a great guild with people who help each other.

- a fan page with forum and things ( its not a big problem to make an own website for me)

- have fun!

I am neither Belgian not Dutch.  I am, however, Afrikaans, which is "close enough" for most.

 

Do you intend to be playing Dutch as a faction?  I'm considering it with the hopes of some kickass Merchantmen being added to the game.

My plan is to sail under the dutch flag but we should do more than only merchantmen

I have to think that we will get MANY more people on the forums. And unless you want to limit membership to only Dutch you may get those from other countries who would not mind serving in a Dutch Guild as well

The Decatur Armada will be an American Society, assuming that the US faction is one of the five that are part of the initial rollout.

Well, let's start with a name huh...maybe VOC is a bit too obvious but would be nice for a start.

Maybe a forum or website is an idea to gather resources and players?

I started The Decatur Armada from scratch a couple of months ago and would be willing to share with you some of my pitfalls although we have grown quite a bit since then. If there is anything I can do to help you get your fleet up and running please don't hesitate to reach to me. The more active groups that we have the better Naval Action will be!

About a forum i think thats the first thing what we need.

I can make a website/forum (not professional)

so we need a domain but than we need first a name..

The cost for domain and hosting is not a big problem.

To start with a Steam group will be a recommendation. You have a forum and everything there. The Team speak server is already covered so...the name can always be changed but the W.I.T.C. or W.I.C would be cool... (west Indian (trading) company)
