angriff Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 After watching the Admiral the Dutch movie about Michiel de Ruyter (must see) I was thinking about the scenes where town's people were watching the battles from the beach. It would be both cool and entertaining ( if not engrossing) to enter a port battle and spawn as a spy glass on shore to watch the battle as a spectator. There could be very few things that would cement new players to the game than this. 1
Pugwis Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 You play a game in wich you watch peoples playing the game, try to imagine watching this on youtube. Welcome to the navalception. 2
Sir Texas Sir Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Will have to check out the movie now. I wouldn't mind if once you sunk in PB"s you could go more to this mode or a better overview mode to watch the rest of the flight. Lilke that you can't see damage or click on the other team ships but I would like to watch it more than just from clicking from one ship to the other or allow more of a zoom out function for this mode than they allow all ready. By watching other ships fight I have learned a few things too.
angriff Posted August 11, 2016 Author Posted August 11, 2016 (edited) Youtube is so last year it isn't silly. You might as well say view it in picture taken by a Polaroid! (oh I forgot they brought that back for millennials. Spectator mode if you miss the battle call would be a great person engagement and real time. Edited August 12, 2016 by angriff
Prater Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 I watched The Admiral a couple months ago on Netflix. Very good movie. A lot of people agree that there should be a spectator mode if both sides agree to it, especially for tournaments. Maybe in port battles if you are a member of either nation you can spectate the battle.
