jnovotny6 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 After this morning's small patch my wreck was on north coast of Jamaica and I was in La Mona. the bottle was found just south of La mona. someone else in the chat had same experience. Anyone know anything about this? Shouldn't have to sail 3 days to a wreck.
Powderhorn Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 The further the sail, the more valuable wrecks can become.
Captain Kibble Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Shouldn't have to sail 3 days to a wreck. Why not? While I'm not a huge fan of sailing for that long, if the profits are going to remain as huge as they are, it should take some work. Each bottle right now is worth ~500k (judging by the ones I've found so far).

Anne Wildcat Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 If you get a bottle on the way to the wreck, open it up after picking up the loot from the wreck. The new location may be closer to an outpost you have.
maturin Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Ever notice how when the heroes find a treasure map in a dusty London antique shop, they usually have to go a bit farther than Sussex to dig it up? 7
Mrdoomed Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Why dont all these i hate sailing in a sailing game threds get combined so i dont have to keep thinking its a new thread. 1
jnovotny6 Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 ok, you convinced me, I now love afk sailing to the wrecks
jnovotny6 Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 I sail in real life, so sailing is not a problem, my boat and I in key largo in May 4
cmdrbobcito Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Found 10 Bottles yesterday...in the Bahamas. That's just silly. Liked the one or two a week, with a planned day's sail into enemy waters much more... A little more balance for all would be just fine with me. 3
VonVolks Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) Thats exactly the thing the patch have promoted, which is a shame. Sailing is good but a trip from La Mona to north Jamaica is just madness. You have to think you are going to do ALWAYS those kind of long trips with each bottle. Why is having more ships at sea a shame or madness? it gives a reason to sail, and therefore a reason to be a target! You can AFK sail if you like (I do a lot) but its a risk..... The more players at sea, the better. Edited August 3, 2016 by VonVolks
Loco Bandito Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 The point is this; Fixed bugs: Fixed bugs with shipwreck locations distribution This is in the patch notes, then after the mini patch it's reversed. Maybe we don't like getting lied to?
Baron Von WeisenCracker Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 wow-- opened one near Bermuda (due to last wreck sending me there) and next wreck is off Atwood! ... random yes .... we could have been warned you know?
delaine Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 i may need to actualy get a hauler down to plymoth then on the pve server as it stands till that patch iv been using random frigs i have or my buc or ingerm to go pick up wrecks

BallsOfSteel Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Im just going to amass them and not use at all, I have a life as well. Its hard enough missions take 20 minutes to get to each way. Game is going to get better but only if time allocation for taskings is taken into account as most players will come in realise how long everything takes and go somewhere else unless its modified.

Loco Bandito Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 What Patch Notes? Where? http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/15485-patch-993-bucentaure-acceleration-rework-and-many-other-things/
Skully Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 The Golden Shower has prematurely shot us in this apparently non-gratifying position. So the good thing is, there is now the opportunity to deal with the inevitable arise of this ... ehr ... situation. So the Golden Shower is now only gratifying to alts (/powergamers). Hmm, how should I feel about this change?
Captain Christopher Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 you end up getting more bottles than you can open. on the way to 1 wreck i ended up getting 2 more bottles lol

Maybe we don't like getting lied to? Would be nice if there was some post for these min patch/hotfix's to so we have a heads up. 2
Ted Nougat Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Got a bottle yesterday, burning sail says it's 59 minutes sailing time away, which means it's about an hour and 15 minutes to get there. Yeah, screw that. I'm not spending three fucking hours just to go to a wreck in the middle of the Atlantic and back. I'll just stack bottles for now until the sailing distance becomes at least slightly less ridiculous.
Captain Kibble Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 At the least, if it is truly random, it would be nice to be able to pop multiple bottles at once and potentially make one big trip out of it. 5
TheRoyalOak Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I got a Good idea for the Bottles, now where no working guys ( just 1-2 Hours a day for play the game ) can reach a Wreck anymore we can give them a chance to get something out of it ,... its called : SHIP CHRISTENING means u can use this useless bottles to ship christening any of your ships and u get any random Bonus for your ship! Maybe 1 knot Bonus for 3 days or 5 Guns more onboard for about 3 days or Just a random Name sprayed at your Ship out of a Pornoname Generator or something else ... sailed today for a wreck from misteriosa to the midle from the Gulf,... 1h40min,.... for a Craftable improved Mag acc. i never will sail to any wreck anymore.... so why not use them for a ship christening?! ( sry for my Bad English ) 5
MDDonnergott Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I got a Good idea for the Bottles, now where no working guys ( just 1-2 Hours a day for play the game ) Got to agree, there's no way I'm going to spend that time for some wrecks farming that won't give me good enough loot for the time I'm putting in.
