victor Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I noted today that, during storms, the program almost eats all my CPU usage (100% on my monitors) and causes frequent freezes (watchdog error) This thing started happening after last patch, while before I did not have such problem.
Mirones Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 could you F11 when it happens and put the NAB number here? the number gets copied instantly to your clipboard so you only need to control+v.
victor Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 when it happens the crash, the computer is freezed so f11 is not possible
victor Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) UPDATE: it's not only in the storms, now the game client is literally eating my CPU usage, then sends teh CPU in overload and the system crashes. I have win 10 and my CPU is a Intel core Extreme 2 X9650 @ 3.00Ghz Edited August 3, 2016 by victor
Sir Texas Sir Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Have you checked your settings? They might need to be turned down or something. No issue here during storms other than a few FPS drop but my machine isn't a potato either.
victor Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) I tried at low settings (and there was no change in CPU usage rates), now i cannot even enter the game. It freezes immediately. Edit: I reinstalled the game client and at least I succeded in logging in and entering a port. I will check if the issue persists. Edited August 3, 2016 by victor
Ink Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Captain, also try to set Compatibility Mode with Windows 7 on the both client.exe and client_,exe files (here \SteamApps\common\Naval Action) and reply back with the results
victor Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) I tired compatibility mode but problem persists. Maybe it's a problem of compatibility with some dirvers on my rig but right now I exit ports and the game crashes after a couple of seconds. Edited August 5, 2016 by victor
Ink Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Perhaps you need to make a clean driver install in your system?
victor Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 I will try this or maybe the ram have some problems
victor Posted August 8, 2016 Author Posted August 8, 2016 (edited) I repaired win 10, run a driver check, run a memory check, and yet the problem is still there: almost immediate crash with watchdog violation error message. Please note that also on another computer I use in my home I can sail in OS but the game crashes as soon as I enter in combat. I start suspecting that the last build of the game has a code that - with some configurations - is much less stable than the other ones. Edited August 8, 2016 by victor
Ink Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Captain, could you please check if you have the same issues in other newest games?
