Elric Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Over the past 2-3 weeks, I've run a Belle Poule, Trinc and LGV in AI combat. Similar amount of time for each. LGV - fires - 1 Trinc - fires - 1 Belle Poule - 7 - including multiple fires in one combat - and the ship exploding... Several questions. Are different ships more prone to fires? Are stern hits needed to cause fires? With the Belle Poule, it seems like any hits to the stern of the ship can cause fires. I was in a mission against a couple of brigs and their first hit on the Belle Poule stern started a fire. I put that out and soon after another hit on the stern caused another fire...
Sir Texas Sir Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I know you can light some of the smaller ships on fire from deck hits. Though I do think stern shots have a better chance of doing so.
delaine Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 most of the enemy ai that board allied ai i have a tendancy to stern shot iv lit a frig on fire a few times doing so had one explode killing the allied npc i was trying to help win boarding(by some good ole ball to the enemy ships stern) and doing some damage to myself heh lit a few up on the broadsides but not as many as the stern
squedage Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 i have seen a santi get 4 fires at 1 time with a rake and it wasnt a fire ship. Seems to me that fires are way to easy to get right now 1
