Jean Ribault Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Anyone done an upgrade yet from W7 to W10 and seen any difference in NA performance? I am upgrading 2 machines tonight from W7 ultimate to W10, and am wondering if the performance will be the same? Taking longer than expected.
Cpt Blackthorne Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 I've never done an upgrade, always a full install. GL mate. 1
Shark Aumakua Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 I have done the upgrade and have not seen a difference in game play. 1
Ted Nougat Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Windows 7 magically updated itself one night. NA plays the same. 1
Jean Ribault Posted July 30, 2016 Author Posted July 30, 2016 Thanks guys. I sure wish it would magically update itself quicker though. Like watching paint dry.
Mrdoomed Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Win 10 forced an update on me and NA plays the same or better.
Jean Ribault Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 Upgrading, or trying to upgrade, W7 to 10 may have been the single worst computer experience I have ever had, and there have been many. I tried for 3 evenings and all of Friday night and Saturday morning to upgrade just 1 laptop and a desktop. Multiple failed downloads and failed installs. Eventually wound up being able to upgrade the laptop. In the end I rolled back the installation on the desktop to W7. Couldn't get past the no mouse, no keyboard, no Bluetooth, missing programs, lost USB ports, no USB3.0, lost drivers, lost registration on programs that I could not re-install the key, just all kinds of unending garbage. Ridiculous and so frustrating I think I lost a year off my life. I think I had every issue ever mentioned online with that stupid waste of time upgrade. W7 Ultimate works so flawlessly on that machine I just rolled it back and am more than happy to stay there. Could not have possibly been more frustrating than it was.
