Post 9.93 patch, no cannons in battle

I logged out last night in a battle screen and logged in this morning and had the update for 9.93 run.  Open sea I had my cannons on my ship model; in battle my ship had no cannons.  I tried it twice before I logged again at the hotpatch warning.
