To deal with the battle screen issue: Why can't we have a minigame, which decides if someone who wants to drop out can escape or not? What came in my mind was the sneak-minigame in "Pirates!" when you have to escape a town. Let's have this for battle screeners! The weaiters outside (within a certain radius) and the escapists were hidden by a "fog of war" - if the escapists reach the edge of the circle (like we had in arena mode) without being noticed, they can decide to be ported safely to the nearest friendly harbour, from where they can start new adventures. If an escapist does fail, he can be tagged ...

Yes, but one solution ... Serious: The battle screen issue is the biggest for me ... I have nothing against sailing half an hour over OW, but at this moment this game is all about waiting ... waiting ... waiting ... just watch the videos from plakrocks on twitch - scan 4 hours of gameplay - you will get maybe an hour of battles - there simply is no Naval Action.

maybe because most of the guys waiting in battlescreen are getting tired by being harrassed from ships who cant do shit against the tagged target but keep them for 2 hours in battle, in succession.

Id give the battlescreen 2 minutes to sort stuff and ships out and then autodrop. End of story.

Even more so: if someone manages to escape  you once, you shouldnt be able to tag him right after that again. One of my clan mateys been tagged for almost 2.5 hours in an Indiaman from a Niagara. Indiaman fled -- Niagara tagged, couldnt do nothing. Indiaman fled -- Niagara tagged, couldnt do nothing, and so forth.

Thats grieving, no pvp no gank.

No minigame should allow players whom take away valuable playtime from others to keep them in battle even FURTHER.

Why further? You described already that it's already possible. And that's the point: with the minigame you HAVE the opportunity to escape this endless tagging ... Speaking for me: I would love to see players drop out of battle immediately instead of useless waiting - give them a chance to escape, and they will - I promise.

What part of battle has ended to revenge gankers not understand? Be thankfull players cant teleport to home but are rather forced to log off for the day because of griefers and poor mechanics.

No. if you dont want, just log off.

Excellent, so I don't have to play any minigame. Just log-off and log back on at any time.

Or as I suggested in more then one of these threads... have EVERYONE that leaves a battle come back into OW a minimum of 4-5 min sail time away from the original battle start point.. and in opposite direction from that battle entry location from each other... This will me if your buddies want to camp the exit point they have to Spread WAY out and cover a huge area... not sit tight knowing you will be right there.

That solution is going to affect everyone and not only the supposed "BS campers".

Nope. Not ideal.

There is only one way to solve it. Since we have transporter beams already in use i say we juat hve the abilty to teleport to a port after battle and then battle screen ends.

All done nice and tidy.
