Pagan Pete Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Yarrr, I thinks it would a be a capitol idea if the developers gave us details on the upcoming patches (Im looking you YOU perks) so that us learned men can think it through and give our feedback BEFORE they are implemented. That way we won't need to hot fix balance issues as often. (Im looking at YOU again, perks) 5

(Im looking at YOU again, perks) Lets be realistic, every update they make will be hated by atleast a minor part of the player base, so if they gave us time to nag before hand this games development would come to a stand still 4
Skully Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I would like it very much to have pre-patch discussions. http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/14816-update-on-the-port-battle-set-up/ http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/15098-economics-patch-proposal/ It is hard coming up with a format that works for everyone though. It's not about like/dislike. If it comes to a shouting match of the Blue did this and Red did that, then it should be moderated and closed. We need to identify how we can make good use of these mechanics or how it could be exploited beforehand. I also don't like that some mechanics are too black box. At the very least after implementation, everybody should be fully aware of how things are supposed to function. And just sometimes it's better to have some surprise in place, to really judge its impact. 1

Unlike the poll to choose the next focus a more or less specific topics such as: npc fleets, wind strengths, etc. Granted Devs sometimes have no time to guide that information towards the forumites but with some guidelines and directives the Mods could do this.
Pagan Pete Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 Arrr, I think we can all agree that… We could have told them that a 20% reload bonus was not going to work... =o)
Ledinis Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Arrr, I think we can all agree that… We could have told them that a 20% reload bonus was not going to work... =o) In all honesty i haven't seen a single captain on the British side pick that trait up because it was to useless... 20% situational bonus against one faction while missing out on frigate/line ship master and crippling yourself against the rest of the world ? No thank you. 2
z4ys Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Oh no its the first time pirates have a disadvantage. That has to be fixed 1

No thank you. Actually as all PvE missions are versus pirates ( and events as well ) I would say the perk might be quite useful if the player plays more missions than pvp But the discussion in the thread is not about nitpicking but about advance discussion on changes. 2
